Asheville -- Asheville Police Department May 25, 2021

A fight on Sand Hill Road led to a gun being shot into a home where children were sleeping. Thankfully no one was hurt. Officers located one shell casing outside of the home. 

This happened at 12:56 a.m. on May 25.

Since January 1, 2021, the Asheville Police Department has responded to 217 calls for service reporting shots fired or someone being shot. In addition, 10 people have been shot in Asheville this year.
