City of Hendersonville Government: Facilities During Safer at Home Phase 2 May 26, 2020

With state restrictions beginning to ease during the Safer at Home Phase 2 order, the City of Hendersonville is able to grant additional in-person access to some City facilities and services.

Visitors to any City facility or park are advised to follow the recommended public health guidelines. Remember the 3 Ws:

1) Wear a cloth face covering

2) Wait 6 feet apart and avoid close contact

3) Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer

It is important for people who are sick to continue to stay home. High-risk individuals are urged to stay home and travel only for essential purposes.

Facility Updates:

The Customer Service payment window located on the first floor of City Hall (160 6th Avenue E.) has reopened to walk-in business. Customer Service representatives can process payments, applications, and transfers for walk-in customers. People choosing to visit the payment window are encouraged to follow the signs and stand in the marked areas while waiting to be served. Customers are encouraged to use phone, online, and payment drop-off boxes when possible to limit unnecessary in-person contact. Visit www.hendersonvillenc.gov/pay-my-bill or call (828) 697-3052.

Hendersonville Police Department NC services remain accessible from the first-floor lobby at City Hall. The department now offers an online reporting option for non-emergency incidents at https://www.hendersonvillenc.gov/police-department. Contact HPD at (828) 697-3025 or call 911 with emergencies.

All other visits to City of Hendersonville office facilities are by appointment only. The public should contact the appropriate department to make arrangements.

The public restrooms located at 125 5th Avenue E. have reopened.

Playgrounds continue to be closed under the Phase 2 Safer at Home order; however, City parks, the Oklawaha Greenway, basketball courts, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, dog park, and skate park are open. Park guests should limit gatherings to under 25 people as outlined in the state’s order and keep six feet apart from others who are not members of their household.

The Laura E. Corn Mini-Golf at Boyd Park is currently closed. The City of Hendersonville will make an announcement on its website and social media when the course has opened for the season.

The Patton Park pool is operated by the Hendersonville YMCA. Please visit https://ymcawnc.org/hendersonville for updates.
