Two People Face Drug and Child Abuse Charges in Mitchell County

Mitchell County --  On July 25, 2025, Mitchell County officers accompanied North Carolina probation officers to search the house of a probationer.  

When officers arrived on the site, they noticed unsuitable living circumstances for children and called Mitchell County DSS to visit.

While searching the house, they also found methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.

Both individuals for the following:
Possess Methamphetamine 
Possess Drug Paraphernalia 
Misdemeanor Child Abuse
Court Date: 11-24-2025
Bond: $7500

Thomas Cain Wise (age 41)
