Missing Mother and Child Found Deceased in Overturned Vehicle

Avery County -- The Avery County Sheriff's Department announced a mother and child reported missing, were found deceased today. Family members reported the two missing yesterday. They were listed in the national database. 

 

Today, a search began to locate them, a vehicle of the mother was found overturned,  as a result of a collision, in a creek of US Hwy 19 E near the Cranberry Community. Both people were found deceased inside. North Carolina State Highway will conduct the vehicle collision. 

 

The victims' names will be released after appropriate notifications are made.
