Rutherford County -- January 4, 2024: Rutherford County Government Announcement: Opioid Settlement Funds Project Proposals Requested
signed onto the national opioid litigation lawsuit in 2017, which resulted in a national settlement agreement worth over $50 billion nationwide of which Rutherford County is currently slated to receive approximately $10,810,488 over an eighteen-year period.
Any agencies, firms, etc., interested in offering or expanding services to combat and address opioid substance use disorders are invited to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to describe your project/program. Finalists selected by the County’s Opioid Settlement Funds grant review team will be invited to complete a full Request for Application proposal. Applicants must complete the LOI form to be invited to complete and submit the Request for Application (RFA) and to be considered for full funding. Each applicant must request a minimum of $25,000 with a maximum of $500,000 available for all 2024-2025 projects.
The County’s Opioid strategic planning committee hopes to recommend to the County Commissioners that the County fund multiple projects for this fiscal year.
