It's time for a Spoonful of Positive! With all that's been happening, it's hard to just stop and enjoy a little bit of positive

in life!

So, today, let's take time to do just that!

American rock artist Chubby Checker released his catchy pop song The Twist in 1960. Its popularity would inspire a dance craze that swept the Western world in the early 1960’s.

The 1960's years were quite a roller coaster ride! I know, because I grew up during those years!

Seeing President Kennedy shot and killed, Martin Luther King Jr. and then Robert F. Kennedy. A brother in Vietnam, seeing it every night on the news, seeing protests, busing (in the 1970's after we moved, I would experience first hand) Blacks fighting for civil rights, women in their
own battle for equal rights.

Music seemed to bring many people together and of course, dancing.

I was around 3 years old when the Twist became popular. I can remember my mom having me show off to the neighbors.

It was just fun for me, it made me happy.

So, take a look at this video below with people who really do the Twist well and maybe it will put a smile on your face!
