Our volunteers provide much-needed socialization and enrichment for our animals, assist staff in daily cleaning activities, provide support for all departments, and offer their varied expertise in many different ways each day. Our foster families help us save lives by providing a temporary, loving and restful retreat for animals in need. Volunteers and foster families also have the opportunity to receive additional training with our Behavior Department through a variety of seminars and classes.
Asheville Humane Society volunteers and foster families help us ensure that Buncombe County’s pets and their people are safe, healthy, and thriving!
