Temporary Road Closure - Buffalo Creek Road: The NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has advised the Town of Lake Lure that Buffalo Creek Road will be closed this week. NCDOT crews are are replacing a failing cross pipe approximately 0.9 miles from Buffalo Shoals Rd.
If everything goes according to plan, anticipate the road closure lasting until Friday, 8/16/24, opening to traffic Friday evening.
Detour signs are posted. The detour runs from Cedar Creek Road to Bills Creek Road back to Buffalo Creek Road.
