Farmers, ranchers, nursery owners, vineyards, honeybee growers, and fish producers: Assistance is here to help you recover from Hurricane Helene's impact.
FEMA, the State of NC, and USDA are teaming up to host one-day Agriculture Recovery Centers across the region. These walk-through events are designed to address agricultural and rural recovery needs not covered by standard FEMA or state programs. Event Schedule: Jan. 27 – McDowell County McDowell Technical Community College, Universal Manufacturing Center 634 College Drive, Marion, NC Jan. 28 – Henderson County Dana Community Center 2879 Upward Rd, Flat Rock, NC Jan. 30 – Buncombe County Asheville–Buncombe Technical Community College, Ivy Building 9 Genevieve Circle, Asheville, NC Jan. 31 – Watauga County Watauga Agricultural Conference Center (Winter Farmer’s Market) 252 Poplar Grove Road, Boone, NC All locations are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additional events will be announced later in Ashe, Avery, Burke, Mitchell and Yancey counties. Farmers can attend any of these meetings! Representatives from FEMA, USDA, the NC Department of Agriculture, and other agencies will be on hand to provide information and resources.
