Life, the ups and the lows .... you can't have one without the other. Sometimes you run into a time where lows seem to just keep on coming! There are times when some may realize, hey things are going pretty good, how many really do absorb that? Focusing on the low times can become a habit.
When things are going along in a positive way, we may not even notice it. There are always bills to pay, schedules to keep, daily drama and responsibilities. When a crisis arises, we want those days back that we probably took for granted.
That's when we appreciate the "ups" that we wish we had back.
Let's take a look at some quotes that may say more with a positive spin!
"It's never going to be a smooth sailing ship, there's going to be ups and downs and I think one of the most important things to understand is not to ride the highs too high and ride the lows too low - it is a marathon and if you can just try to steady the ship as you go." -- Patty Mills
"You can't let the highs get too high and you can't let the lows get too low." -- Heather O'Reilly
"You learn a lot more from the lows because it makes you pay attention to what you're doing" -- John Elway
"My focus is on always trying to treat the inevitable highs and lows of life with the same blissful, calm energy." -- Kordell Stewart
"Of course, there are different truths on different levels. Things are true relative to other things; "long" and "short" relate to each other, "high" and "low," and so on. But is there any absolute truth? Something self-sufficient, independently true in itself? I don't think so." -- Dalai Lama
"Because without the lows, the highs would seem pointless." -- A.P. Sweet
"Life is like a rolloercoaster with highs and lows. So quit complaining about it and enjoy the ride!" -- Habeeb Akade
