Town of Marshall 1st Independence Parade, Will Host Fireworks

The town of Marshall will hold an Independence Day parade for the first time in its history.

The Downtown Marshall Association is the parade's host, and it will happen on July 2. At 5:30 p.m., the parade will commence on Blannahassett Island.

Following the procession, there will be music on Blannahassett Island, according to town administrator Forrest Gilliam. Residents will also be able to view fireworks on the island beginning at about 9:30 p.m.
