Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors.
All of these “makers” come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned. With an emphasis on interactive, hands-on exhibits, people of all ages will leave inspired to make something of their own! Attendance is Free! So why sign up for a ticket? Signing up for a ticket ahead of time will save you time at the event since you won't have to register to get a ticket when you arrive. Plus, signing up for a ticket now will help us estimate how many people will be coming and will help us plan our exhibits and interactive displays. And, we can keep you updated with the latest information about Maker Faire Asheville in case anything changes! Where and When? Saturday, April 13th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Where can I get more information about the Asheville Maker Faire? Check out our website. Can I volunteer to help out at the Asheville Maker Faire? Please do! You can find more info here. Can I make a donation to help support Maker Faire Asheville? Yes! Donations (even $1) help us offset the considerable costs of the Faire. You can make donations on our website or when you get your free tickets. The Asheville Makers Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. What are your COVID-19 policies? Our policies may change depending on conditions in April. If you register for tickets, we will send you an update as the date approaches. As of now, there is no vaccination or mask requirement. Where can I park? There is a large parking deck next to the Conference Center as well as a surface lot. Look for parking signs when you arrive. Where is the handicapped parking located? Handicap parking is located in the parking deck. Is public transportation available? There are several ART routes that service the AB Tech campus. You can get more information on the AB Tech website. What if it rains? The show will go on! Most of our activities are indoors this year, but if it is raining, you might want to bring rain gear to keep you dry when walking to the conference center from your parking space and to wear while looking at outdoor exhibits.
