Hendersonville to Celebrate Grand Opening of Brooklyn Community Garden
The City of Hendersonville invites the community to the grand opening of the Brooklyn Community Garden on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. at 1055 Ashe St., Hendersonville, NC.
This milestone event marks the completion of a three-year effort dedicated to fundraising, community engagement, and hands-on garden development. The Brooklyn Community Garden is the first official community garden in Hendersonville, designed as a welcoming space for all ages and abilities to gather, learn, and grow fresh food together.
The celebration will begin with remarks from key stakeholders who helped bring the project to life, followed by a guided garden tour.
“The Brooklyn Community Garden revitalization project has been a labor of love,” said Jane Grossman, Henderson County Master Gardener and Project Manager. “Through the dedication of the city, non-profits, community organizations, and countless volunteers, we’ve transformed a vision into a reality—creating a space that provides Green Meadow residents with fresh food access and a safe outdoor gathering place.”
Garden Highlights Include:
Pergola for community events and gatherings
