Man Faces Multiple Drug and Gun Charges in Asheville
Asheville -- October 30, 2024: The Asheville Police Department, with the assistance of the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol
(MHSP) officers arrested a man Tuesday morning.
According to a APD press release, MHSP officers encountered a suspicious individual trespassing behind the flooded properties near Swannanoa River Road and South Tunnel Road around 3:17 a.m. Asheville Police officers responded to the scene, assisting MHSP in making contact with the suspect, later identified as Cody Wyatt Bullis. During the arrest, Bullis was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun, 13.67 grams of methamphetamine, and 53.45 grams of marijuana.

Bullis was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $30,000 (or $3,000 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
