Sylva -- April 8, 2024: Press Release Sylva Police April 7, 2024: Authorities are currently investigating a suspicious

death reported on Clayton Street in Sylva. The call was received today just after midnight.

The Sylva Police Department is being assisted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. Limited details are available at this time. Further information will be released as the investigation progresses.

There is no known threat to our community. The community is urged to be patient while law enforcement works diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding this incident.
