Haywood County -- March 14, 2024:  The Haywood County Sheriff's Office announced the following arrests in recent weeks. 

We will continue to apply pressure to those who choose to bring illicit drugs into this county. We appreciate the continued support from the community and tips from our citizens and we will continue to work with of our local, state, and federal agencies to do what is necessary to keep all citizens of Haywood County safe!

Chief Deputy Matthew Trantham said, “I am very proud of the work our deputies do every day and for the hard work they put into suppressing the transportation and sale of narcotics in Haywood County. The job these men and women do daily no doubt saves countless lives in Haywood County. To those who are transporting or selling narcotics in Haywood County, I suggest you rethink your life choices and make a change, otherwise, you may be the one in our next press release and spending the next 7-20 years in prison ."

* Thursday, February 29th, 2024, deputies from the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit and Sheriff’s Response Team executed a search warrant on a home off Asheville Road in Waynesville, NC. As a result of this operation, Tony Lamont Falls, 41 of Waynesville was charged with Felony Possession of Schedule II (suspected Cocaine) and other misdemeanor charges.

* Sunday, March 10th, 2024, along with assistance from the Canton Police Department, deputies from the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit and Sheriff’s Response Team executed a search warrant on a home off Pisgah Drive in Canton, NC. The following individuals were arrested as a result of this operation.

Jonas Benton Seeley, 32 of Canton was charged with two counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell Deliver Schedule II and Felony Maintaining Vehicle/Dwelling/Place. Seeley is currently being held in the Haywood County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond. 

Also charged was Aubrey Elizabeth Leigh Ford, 37 of Canton. Ford was charged with two counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell Deliver Schedule II and Felony Maintaining Vehicle/Dwelling/Place and is currently being held in the Haywood County Detention Center under a $20,000 bond.

Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, deputies from the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit and Sheriff’s Response Team executed a search warrant on a home off Stamey Cove Road in Waynesville, NC.

The following individuals were arrested as a result of this operation. 

Molly Shalyn Reece, 39 of Waynesville was charged with Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine, Felony Maintaining Vehicle/Dwelling/Place, Felony Conspire to Traffick Methamphetamine and Felony Possession of a Firearm by Felon. Reece is being held in the Haywood County Detention Center under a $150,000 bond. 

Also arrested was Matthew Daniel Heisler, 44 of Waynesville was charged with Felony Maintaining Vehicle/Dwelling/Place, two counts of Felony Conspire to Traffick Methamphetamine and Felony Possession of a Firearm by Felon. Heisler is also being held in the Haywood County Detention Center under a $150,000 bond.
