Buncombe County Sheriffs Charge Three in Shooting

Buncombe County -- February 19, 2024: Press Release Buncombe County Sheriff's

Noah Berry McDade, age 19, and Jayden Saleem Smith, age 19, of Buncombe County have been charged in relation to the shooting at Lifting Fog Drive in Leicester. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office has charged both individuals with:

• Felony Breaking and Entering
• Felony Conspiracy
• Felony Attempted Armed Robbery

Both individuals are now in custody.

Additionally, a sixteen-year-old is in custody and will be charged on a juvenile petition related to the shooting. This remains an active investigation, further arrests and charges are forthcoming.

Previously, Jonathan Tanner Boyd, age 20, who resides at 36 Lifting Fog Drive was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.

“Thank you for the significant time and effort put forth by numerous personnel at the Sheriff’s Office during this complex investigation,” says Buncombe County Sheriff Quentin Miller.
