Rutherford County -- December 20, 2024: On Tuesday  Investigators with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit, assisted by Investigators with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, were patrolling the area of US 221A Hwy in the Sandy Mush Community.

While on patrol, Investigators witnessed a vehicle driven by Zeb John Davis. Investigators knew Davis to have a revoked driver's license and knew him to have an active warrant for his arrest.

A traffic stop was conducted and during the traffic stop, K9 Ranger was requested to conduct a free-air sniff of the vehicle. K9 Ranger alerted to the odor of narcotics. A search of the vehicle was conducted. During the search, Investigators located 2.88 lbs of Methamphetamine, 47.7 grams of Fentanyl (both pill and powder form), 13 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, 2 dosage units of Hydrocodone, 11 dosage units of Xanax, 2- 9mm handguns, numerous forms of drug paraphernalia to include scales and baggies, and $9,219 in US Currency. As a result, Zeb John Davis, 40 of Spindale, was arrested and charged with the following:


*Trafficking in Methamphetamine
*PWIMSD Sch I Controlled Substance
*Trafficking, Opium or Heroin
*PWIMSD Sch II Controlled Substance (X2)
*PWIMSD Sch IV Controlled Substance
*Possession of Firearm by Felon
*Possess Drug Paraphernalia
*Carrying Concealed Gun (X2)
*Driving while license revoked

In addition to the above charges, Davis was served with a warrant for communicating threats. Davis received a $2,002,500.00 secured bond.
