Cherokee County -- Press Release Cherokee County Sheriff's Office: December 3, 2023:

Authorities from Cherokee County and Murphy are looking for a man considered armed and dangerous and is wanted on felony charges, they announced last night.

***ARMED AND DANGEROUS***
Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is currently looking for Jordan Nathaniel Hedden on felony charges related to a kidnapping and robbery. Hedden is described as 5'8" and approximately 130 pounds with green eyes and brown hair and may be traveling on foot.
HEDDEN IS CONSIDERED TO BE ARMED AND DANGEROUS AND SHOULD NOT BE APPROACHED.

Upon information and belief, on November 30, 2023, a Cherokee County citizen picked up a male, Jordan Hedden and a female, Stephanie Neace, who were hitchhiking. After entering the vehicle, Hedden kidnapped the Cherokee County citizen, forcing her into the back passenger area and taking over the operations of the vehicle. Warrants for Hedden and Neace were issued in North Carolina and Tennessee.
Neace was arrested and is in custody in Georgia. Hedden is still at large and believed to be on the run.
Upon information and belief, on December 2, 2023, Hedden entered a Tennessee residence with a firearm. The firearm was confiscated. Thereafter, Hedden hitchhiked into Georgia.
Be on the lookout for Hedden. If you spot him do not attempt to make contact. Call 911 immediately to disclose his appearance and whereabouts. Hedden is believed to be involved in criminal activity and is believed to pose an immediate threat to public safety.
Hedden is described as 5'8" and approximately 130 pounds with green eyes and brown hair and may be traveling on foot or by bicycle.
