Rutherford County -- On Saturday, the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office announced the following:

On 10/28/23, while on patrol in Ellenboro, Deputy Coggins conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Matthew Dante Young. Deputy Hensley and Officer Kileen assisted with an investigation that led to the discovery of approximately 15 grams of pressed fentanyl pills, 29 grams of marijuana, and multiple drug paraphernalia items. As a result of the investigation, both Matthew and the passenger, Rozalyn Carolee Toney were arrested and charged with the following:

Matthew Dante Young
Trafficking Opium or Heroin
Possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver (PWIMSD) Schedule VI
Possess Drug Paraphernalia not for Marijuana
Possess Marijuana Paraphernalia
Matthew was given a $100,000 secured bond.

Rozalyn Carolee Toney
Trafficking Opium or Heroin
Possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver (PWIMSD) Schedule VI
Possess Drug Paraphernalia not for Marijuana
Possess Marijuana Paraphernalia
Rozalyn was given a $100,000 secured bond.
