APD Investigating Drive-By Shooting into Occupied Home

Asheville -- August 10, 2023: Asheville Police announced in a news release they're investigating an apparent drive-by
shooting. 

Shots were fired into an apartment where there were individuals inside the residence, including children, but no one was hurt.

APD Patrol Officers responded to the 60 block of Bingham Road at 2:39 a.m. to investigate reports of a gun discharge into an occupied house. Officers canvassed the house and discovered bullet damage to windows and an upper bedroom where a resident was sleeping. They also discovered shell casings outside the property.
