Traffic Stop in Rutherford County Leads to Drug Charges

Rutherford County-- May 31, 2023: Rutherford County Sheriff's Officer was on patrol Monday, May 29, 2023, stopped a car after learning that the driver's license had been suspended.

The ocuupants admitted to having drugs on them during the course of the traffic check. Deputies discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and assorted drug paraphernalia during a check of the car. Consequently, the driver,

Dylan Scott Lowery, 29 of Highland Ave in Henrietta, and Mitchum Chad Hardin, 38 of Soco Gap Road in Ellenboro, were arrested and charged with the following:
Dylan Lowery:
DRIVING WHILE LICENSE REVOKED
SIMPLE POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE VI CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA
Mr. Lowery received a $500 secured bond.
Mitchum Hardin:
DELIVER METHAMPHETAMINE
POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE
SIMPLE POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE VI CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
POSSESS DRUG PARAPHERNALIA (X2)
Mr. Hardin received a $50,000 secured bond.
