APD Charge Drug Trafficker with 2 Dozen Firearms

Asheville -- April 15, 2023: Detectives from the Asheville Police Department and Alcohol Law Enforcement partners
worked together to apprehend a drug dealer who was in possession of 25 weapons while they were looking into criminal information about drug activities in a west Asheville neighborhood.

Detectives and special agents joined forces to conduct a combined investigation, and they discovered that David Edward Peskin  was selling illegal substances.
Around noon on April 13, Peskin was apprehended after the team discovered information about his movements and managed to track him down near Haywood Road. Peskin was discovered to be in possession of a gun while being arrested.

More guns and a sizable amount of drugs were discovered during the execution of a search warrant at Peskin's residence. A Buncombe County storage facility was the result of the study.  After getting in touch with the detectives at the Buncombe County Sheriff Department, ALE and the crew retrieved a sizable collection of weapons, five of which had been reported stolen.   

Peskin was booked at the Buncombe County Detention Facility on a magistrate-issued $110,000 secured bond (or $11,000 to a bondsman).
