APD Arrest Man in Shooting

Asheville -- March 7, 2023: A shooting occurred in Asheville on Patton Avenue. Asheville Police
responded to a report of a gunshot 

wound at around 10 pm Sunday night in a road rage dispute. Officers located a man who had been shot in the hip. The man was transported to Mission Hospital for treatment.

During the investigation, a firearm and 2 shell casings were recovered.

Levi Michael was taken into custody by officers on-scene without incident.

Charges:
-Assault w/ a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury
-Assault by Pointing a Gun
-Simple Assault
Michael was booked into the Buncombe County Jail under a $50,000.00 secured bond (or $5,000 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.
