Asheville -- March 3, 2023: Police in Asheville are still looking into a recent hit-and-run that injured a cyclist
sending him to the hospital. They are asking for the public's assistance in providing details about the event

and identifying the car that was involved.

Around 5:05 p.m. on March 1st, APD Patrol Officers responded to a report of a cyclist who had been hit by a car in the 35 block of Grove Street. The rider is still in critical condition at Mission Hospital after being taken there by Buncombe County EMS. No suspicious cars were discovered.

Authorities have surveillance pictures of a car they believed to have been involved in the incident, possibly a blue Toyota sedan.  Authorities are requesting that anyone with information regarding the car or the collision get in touch with APD.
