One of the Largest Drug Busts in Rutherford County

Rutherford County -- March 2, 2023: A search warrant was executed
at 334 Southers Road Lot 1

in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, by detectives from the Rutherford County "VICE" team. The investigation into Tahayran Shieen Gray's distribution of copious amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana led to this search. The following items were discovered by detectives during this search warrant:

1. 2,754.74 grams (6.07 pounds, approximately 27,547 dosage units ) Pressed Fentanyl pills
2. 188.14 grams (6.6 ounces) Cocaine
3. 4,076 grams (8.9 pounds) Marijuana
4. 13.93 grams MDMA also known as Ecstasy
5. 216 dosage units Oxycodone
6. 6 dosage units of Suboxone
7. 2 - 9mm handguns (Glock 43X & Poly 80)
8. $2,734.68 in U.S Currency
TAHAYRAN SHIEEN GRAY was charged with the following:
1. Trafficking Opium or Heroin (2 counts)
2. Possess Firearm by Felon (2 counts)
3. Trafficking Sch I Controlled Substance
4. Trafficking Sch II Controlled Substance
5. Possess with intent to sell/deliver Sch III
6. Maintain Dwelling for Controlled Substance
7. Possess with Intent to sell/deliver Marijuana
8. Possess Drug Paraphernalia
