3 People Arrested in Shooting incident in Madison County

Madison County -- Madison County Sheriff's Office: On 05/17/2021 Madison County Communications received a 911 call in

reference to a shooting that occurred on Jake Lane in Marshall. 

The victim had reportedly been shot in the head and ran to a neighboring residence for help. Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to the shooting.

 Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies located the victim with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Deputies located the residence where the shooting had occurred. 

A search warrant was executed at that residence. Deputies recovered the firearm that was used in the shooting hidden in the woods. The shooter had fled the area but was later apprehended at a different residence, by Deputies with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals have been charged.

Anthony James Gross was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Grover Anthony Cole was charged with Felony Aid and Abet.
Patricia Louise Gross was charged with Felony Aid and Abet.
Lori Surrett was charged with Felony Aid and Abet.
