Asheville -- Asheville Police March 18, 2021: reported An employee of the WNC Rescue Mission is being treated at the hospital

after being stabbed in the neck at 5:30 a.m. this morning. When officers got to the Rescue Mission the suspect, Faith Denise Cox, still had the knife in her hand. Officers were able to speak to her and convince her to drop the knife.
She was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and taken to the detention facility and given a $8,000 secure bond.
