Son Arrested for Murder of his Father in Yancey County

Yancey County --  Yesterday morning, the Yancey County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident in the Ferguson Hill area of Yancey County.

Following the investigation, 21-year-old John Claude Charlton has been arrested and charged with the murder of his father, Virgil John Charlton.

John Claude Charlton is currently being held in the Yancey County Detention Center under ‘no bond’.
At this time, no further details will be released, as the investigation continues.
