Henderson County -- The Henderson County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division – David Squad was called to an allegation of domestic violence at a home in the Mountain Home neighborhood on the evening of Monday, April 14, 2025.

When law enforcement arrived, they saw via a window that there was a large amount of blood on the floor and that a man, later identified as 33-year-old Donald Garrett Jr., was wandering around the house while clearly covered in blood.  Officers forced their way into the residence.

They found two family members inside with potentially fatal stab wounds.  While they awaited EMS, officers detained Garrett right away and started giving the victims vital life-saving treatments.

Donald Garrett Jr. was consequently accused of the following:

Two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder
• Two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
Garrett was brought before a District Court Judge, where his bond was set at $750,000 secured.
