Fugitive Arrested in Rutherford County

Road Patrol Division responded to a call for

service in the area of Autumn Glow Road in Union Mills, reference a breaking and entering that had occurred. The responding deputy was able to identify the suspect as a result of his investigation, and secured warrants on Eric Dwayne Greene. On 02/09/25, Road Patrol Deputies attempted to locate Eric at a location he was known to frequent, but Eric had fled the residence into the woods, prior to the Deputies arriving.

Deputies began to track Eric who attempted to flee in the area of Vickers Road, Hill Road, Flynn Road, and Dave Sims Road, cutting through woods, fields, and residential properties. Pursuing Road Patrol Deputies, who launched a drone, and utilized tips from citizens in the area, ultimately caught up with the fleeing suspect, who made a last-ditch effort to cut through a field in the area of Dave Sims Road and Carrie Lane. Deputies entered the field in their patrol cars and after a brief foot pursuit, he was arrested and taken into custody.

As a result of this investigation, Eric Dwayne Greene, 36 of Forest City, was arrested and charged with the following:

Felony Breaking and Entering
Larceny After Breaking and Entering

Eric was also a fugitive for violating his post release conditions by failure to pay restitution, failure to pay supervision fee, drug use, failure to report to his supervising officer and new criminal charges of PWIMSD Methamphetamine, Possess Drug Paraphernalia, Breaking and Entering, and larceny after breaking and entering.

Eric was on post release for:

Communicating Threats
Possessing Stolen Goods (X3)
Felony Breaking and Entering (X2)
Larceny After Breaking and Entering (X2)
Habitual Breaking and Entering
Eric was given a $20,000 secured bond on the new charges but is held on no bond reference post-release violations.
