Join us on October 4 to hear Dr. Kathryn Edin speak about the relationship between women and poverty at Pisgah Legal Services’ 8th Annual Poverty Forum. The nonprofit hosts this annual event to draw attention to the plight of low-income people in Western North Carolina.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Kathryn Edin, Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs at Princeton University and the author of eight books, including $2 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America. The hallmark of her research is her direct, in-depth observations of the lives of low-income women, men and children.
