Canton -- Come and celebrate the season as the Canton Christmas Parade marches through downtown Canton, NC. The

parade begins at 6 pm, Thursday, December 5, 2024.

The town of Canton, NC, is embracing the magic of the season with its Polar Express-themed Christmas parade, a heartwarming celebration of community resilience. After the trials brought by Hurricane Helene, the parade serves as a beacon of hope and togetherness for this tight-knit Western North Carolina town. The streets come alive with festive floats, children dressed as characters from the beloved story, and the joyful sound of holiday cheer. It's not just a parade—it's a testament to Canton's spirit, reminding everyone that,, like the Polar Express, belief, and unity can lead to something truly magical.

This a community favorite and features area school groups, high school bands, Christmas music, dance teams, churches, and many local businesses, as well as horses, dogs, tractors, vintage cars, and the flashing lights of our local emergency services. Oh! and of course Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be making an appearance! It will be full of lights, Santa hats, and holiday cheer… you won’t want to miss it!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE IN THE PARADE?

You can email talexander@cantonnc.com or call 828-648-2363 and ask for Teresa. This is a night parade so we ask that everyone participating have their entries lit with lights.
