HOURS & FEES
Saturday, October 19, 2024 9am-4pm Free Admission Parking adjacent to the Fair $10 per car/personal vehicle $25 per small bus or van $50 per large bus or motor coach CONTACT Valle Country Fair Committee PO Box 543, Valle Crucis, NC 28691 holy_cross@skybest.com 828-963-4609 LOCATION NC Highway 194 between Valle Crucis and Banner Elk, NC Across from Holy Cross Church 122 Skiles Way, Banner Elk 28604 FOOD Eat all you want at the Valle Country Fair because nearly all of the food concessions are operated by the church or by other non-profit organizations that return 100 percent of their earnings to local charities. Tables and chairs are provided under a large tent next to the stage so that fairgoers can enjoy the music while they dine. CRAFTS The region's most accomplished artists and craftspeople submit to a jury process that is designed to bring together the highest quality handmade crafts available. The Exhibitor committee requires that all work be original in design, form, concept and media, and that it be handcrafted or artistically crafted by the exhibitor. This process insures that fairgoers have the greatest variety of one-of-a-kind products to choose between. And as a show of support, exhibitors participating in the event donate at least 10% of their earnings back to the Fair charities. MOUNTAIN MUSIC And other hill-country entertainment Two stages are set up to provide entertainment throughout the day. The stage located near the dining tent features local bluegrass and country bands. A second stage located among the crafts booths features storytellers, cloggers and mountain-style performances. Fun For The Whole Family The Valle Country Fair offers lots of distractions for every member of the family. There is an activity area where kids can play games, bowl with pumpkins and busy their hands with arts and crafts. Other diversions include visiting with live alpacas, face painting and keeping time with the stomping feet of local clog teams. Hosted By Holy Cross Episcopal Church in cooperation with The Valle Crucis Conference Center |
