WNC -- November 20, 2025: The YMCA of Western North Carolina (YMCA of WNC) has officially joined a critical national movement by launching the YMCA Reach & Rise Mentoring Program.
This initiative connects youth in the WNC region with caring adult role models, leveraging a nationally recognized, evidence-based model to promote mental well-being and positive life outcomes.A Program with Proven National ImpactReach & Rise is not a local invention, but a therapeutic mentoring model developed by the YMCA of San Francisco in 1992 and expanded nationally in 2012.
