Henderson County is set to host its inaugural Winter Ramble music festival, a celebration of Appalachian mountain music, from February 27 to March 1, 2026. The event will take place across multiple indoor venues in the Hendersonville area, offering a unique winter experience for music enthusiasts.
What to Expect
The Winter Ramble aims to highlight the region's cultural heritage with a diverse lineup of bluegrass, old-time string bands, country singer-songwriters, Americana, folk, gospel, and blues artists. The festival will feature workshops, jam sessions, dance lessons, and a makers market, allowing attendees to create personalized itineraries by "rambling" between venues.

The festival spans various venues, including Flat Rock Cinema, Sierra Nevada Brewery, Oklawaha Brewing, Trailside Brewing Co., Southern Appalachian Brewing, Blue Ridge Beer Garden, Marked Tree Vineyard, Treska’s on Highland Lake, Honeysuckle Holler, and Appalachian Ridge Artisan Cider. Events include both free and ticketed options.
Friday's lineup includes Underhill Rose at Flat Rock Cinema and Chatham Rabbits, with free performances at Treska’s, Sierra Nevada Brewery, Trailside Brewing, Southern Appalachian Brewing, Honeysuckle Holler, and Oklawaha Brewing.
Saturday features Josh Goforth Storytelling, a film screening at Flat Rock Cinema, Amanda Anne Platt & the Honeycutters, and Trey Hensley. Free performances include Apple County String Band, Reedy River String Band, A Different Thread, Maggie Valley Band, and dance events at Honeysuckle Holler.
