Cherokee County — In a major coordinated effort to support regional military veterans, the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) Department of Military & Veterans Affairs has announced the 3rd Annual EBCI Regional Veterans Disability Claims Clinic & Resource Expo.
The multi-day event is designed to streamline the often complex process of navigating federal, state, and tribal benefits. By bringing crucial decision-makers and service organizations under one roof, organizers aim to provide a "one-stop-shop" experience for veterans seeking to file claims, appeal prior decisions, or explore available healthcare and wellness resources.
The expo is open to all veterans across Western North Carolina and surrounding regional areas.
Event Logistics & Schedule
The event will take place at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort on the first floor of the convention center space. The timeline spans three days, including a dedicated setup period followed by two full days of public operations:
Monday, July 6:All-Day Setup. Reserved for hosting organizations, federal/state partners, and community veteran service groups to coordinate logistics.
Tuesday, July 7 & Wednesday, July 8:Public Event Days. The clinic and expo floors will be fully operational from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily.
