Asheville -- August 15, 2025: Two men were taken into custody by Asheville Police on Thursday night in relation to an armed carjacking and robbery that occurred in south Asheville.
Around 6:17 p.m. last night, officers were called to a complaint of an armed robbery and carjacking that had occurred close to Avalon Park Circle. When police found the victim, he said that two males, later identified as Theodore Anthony Brooks (08/02/2004) and Real Samuel Wells (07/11/2006), robbed him at gunpoint after breaking into the home of a woman he had been corresponding with online. The victim was taken several miles away without any injuries after Brooks, Wells, and the victim were left in the victim's car.
Officers and detectives conducted an investigation, found the victim's stolen iPhone at a Reed Street home, and spoke with Brooks, Wells, and the female suspect. Wells and Brooks were apprehended without any problems. The female involved will soon face charges, pending additional investigation. Drugs, firearms and other stolen items were found after a search warrant was executed.
