According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 12:55 p.m. near Farm Lane.
Investigators report that a Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on NC 108 when the vehicle ran off the roadway.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after the crash, but tragically, both occupants of the truck were pronounced deceased. Authorities are currently withholding the names of the victims as they work to notify next of kin.
