ASHEVILLE -- The search for a suspect deemed "armed and dangerous" ended Monday when Calobe Leo Workman, 19, turned himself in to the Asheville Police Department.
Workman (DOB: 07/01/2006) was wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 8th on North Lexington Avenue in the heart of downtown Asheville. Following the incident, police had urged extreme caution, notifying the public that Workman posed an immediate safety concern.
Charges and Detention
Workman faces serious felony charges stemming from the investigation:
Felony Discharge of a Firearm from an Enclosure to Incite Fear.
Upon surrendering, Workman was processed and booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility. A magistrate has ordered that he be held under NO BOND, making him currently ineligible for release.

While the suspect is in custody, the Asheville Police Department emphasizes that this remains an open and active investigation. Detectives are still seeking any additional information regarding the events of March 8th.
