What and Why

Designed for adults aged 50 and older, the Asheville-Buncombe Senior Games feature over 120 sports and arts events. These events include activities such as tennis, pickleball, archery, track and field, swimming, dance, poetry, and sculpture. The games focus on recreation and aim to build community spirit while encouraging participants to stay active and connect socially.

When and Where

The main games are scheduled for April 7–May 23, 2026. The SilverArts showcase will run from April 1–May 24, 2026. Events take place at various venues throughout Asheville and Buncombe County, North Carolina. Participation is open to individuals beyond the local area.

How to Participate

Registration is required through the official website, with a $10 fee noted for some listings. The registration deadline is March 31, 2026. Free clinics are offered, allowing seniors to sample the 127 events in a low-pressure setting.
