Public Input Asheville Riverfront Parks Recovery Survey Ends Tomorrow

Asheville -- December 18, 2025: The Asheville Area Arts Council Reminder: The City of Asheville is gathering final community input to shape two major riverfront recovery projects—the French Broad Riverfront Parks Project and the Azalea Parks & Infrastructure Project. This is your opportunity to tell the City that public art, creative spaces, and artist-led experiences matter in our parks and along our riverfronts. Your voice will directly inform the next phase of design. If you want to see art, culture, and creativity woven into these public spaces, now is the time to say so. 🗓️ Survey closes 12/19

City of Asheville --These are design projects aimed at repairing, reassessing, and enhancing the resilience of riverfront parks, greenways, and infrastructure following Helene.

The projects are just getting started, with studies on existing conditions and damages underway. This survey aims to gather insights on what the broader Asheville community wants to see in these public spaces. What programs and activities should be repaired? What should or could be added? The results from this survey will inform the next step in the design process, where the design teams will explore a range of design and programmatic options.
