Officers responded to the scene on Spartanburg Highway near Nelson Street after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck.
Details of the Incident
According to investigators, Jennifer Lynn Summey, 48, of Hendersonville, was walking in the roadway when she was struck by a single vehicle. Emergency responders arrived quickly, and Ms. Summey was immediately transported to Mission Hospital with serious injuries.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, the Hendersonville Police Department confirmed that Ms. Summey died from her injuries on Saturday, December 20.
