McDowell County -- October 27, 2026: McDowell County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of 49-year-old Christian Michael Hall of Old Fort.
On October 12, an officer responded to a local business in the Ashworth Road area after a report of a breaking and entering incident.
Upon arrival to the business a male was seen fleeing from a minivan nearby with a trailer attached behind it. A command was given to stop but the male did not comply. He also observed a door to the business was open.
Deputies and detectives located the suspect at mile marker 83 and identified as Hall. He was arrested and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center.
Items found in the minivan consistent with the breaking and entering, along with an item from inside the business.
Hall is charged with felony Breaking and Entering. He was initially denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release from Burke County.
