Spruce Pine -- Music fans are invited to a special benefit concert featuring Grammy Award-winning string band Old Crow Medicine Show to support the Mitchell County Development Foundation’s ongoing efforts to help local businesses recover and rebuild following the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

The concert will take place on Saturday, October 25, at the Three Peaks Enrichment Center, located at 97 Pinebridge Avenue in Spruce Pine. A complete event schedule is available on the ticketing website.

Old Crow Medicine Show, a band with deep roots right here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, will headline the event, bringing their unique blend of folk and old-time music to the stage. Attendees can look forward to hearing the band’s signature hit “Wagon Wheel,” along with their newest hits, as they celebrate the history and mystery of the mountains.

The concert is a fundraiser for the Mitchell County Development Foundation, an organization that is working tirelessly to assist local businesses in reopening their doors and getting back on their feet after the storm. Organizers have announced that 100% of the funds raised from ticket sales will be donated directly to the foundation. All event costs have been covered by Hilloween, ensuring that the beneficiary receives the full amount raised without any financial obligation to the foundation, the county, or the town.
