Raleigh -- August 12, 2026: Following an Executive Order issued on Aug. 10, 2026, regarding childhood immunizations, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) has reaffirmed the critical role vaccines play in protecting children and public health. State health officials are encouraging parents and caregivers to consult with pediatricians or primary care providers regarding recommended immunizations.
