Blue Ridge Parkway -- January 30, 2026: The following update by the National Park Service:

The majority of the Parkway remains closed due to winter weather conditions. The Parkway is open in Asheville from the Folk Art Center, milepost 382, to Highway 25 (Hendersonville Road), milepost 388.8.

With additional winter weather forecast for this weekend, conditions may continue to change. Assessments are underway and sections will be reopened when clear of ice, snow and debris.

For updates, visit the Road Status and Closures page on our website.

The Road Status and Closures page also details which Parkway sections are authorized for winter recreation. Sections closed for Helene recovery are closed for all uses. Sections closed for road projects not related to Helene are trail use only. Recreation is authorized in sections closed for winter weather.
