Waynesville -- August 28, 2026: A multi-jurisdictional narcotics operation led to multiple felony arrests, the seizure of methamphetamine and fentanyl, and the recovery of stolen property and firearms across Western North Carolina earlier this week.
On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the Waynesville Police Department executed a search warrant at 141 Boyd Avenue following an ongoing investigation into a regional drug distribution ring. The WPD TAC and Narcotics Unit, Criminal Investigation Division, Haywood County Sheriff’s Office, and NC Probation and Parole collaborated on the operation, which targeted property owner and resident Login Anderson.
Findings at the scene immediately triggered a second search warrant for a nearby property also owned by Anderson at 131 Boyd Avenue.
Boyd Avenue Seizures and Arrests
The Boyd Avenue searches yielded significant contraband packaged for street-level distribution:
Approximately 73 grams of packaged methamphetamine
Digital scales and drug paraphernalia
Small quantities of additional controlled substances
Firearms
$445 in cash
Approximately three hours after officers arrived, Anderson was located hiding with her child in a wooded area on an adjacent property. The Haywood County Department of Social Services responded to the scene to assist with the child.
Authorities emphasized that the Boyd Avenue properties sit within 1,000 feet of Central Haywood High School, Waynesville Middle School, the Haywood County Public Library, and several daycares. The addresses have long generated neighborhood complaints concerning thefts, assaults, and overdoses.
Robbinsville Search and Expansion
The investigation extended into Graham County on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, when officers served a search warrant at 713 Old Tallulah Road in Robbinsville with the assistance of the Graham County Sheriff’s Office.
That search resulted in the recovery of:
Approximately four grams of fentanyl
Three firearms, including one confirmed stolen from Waynesville
A pressure washer and heater previously reported stolen out of Haywood County
In total, four individuals were taken into custody as part of the broader operation.

Login Anderson: Charged with two counts of felony possession of a firearm by a felon; felony trafficking in methamphetamine; felony possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; felony manufacture, sell, deliver, or possess a Schedule II controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school property; felony conspiracy to traffic a Schedule II controlled substance; two counts of felony maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of selling and delivering controlled substances; and felony exposing a child to a controlled substance.
Justin Ward (Buncombe County): Charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine; felony possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; felony manufacture, sell, deliver, or possess a Schedule II controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school property; felony conspiracy to traffic a Schedule II controlled substance; and felony possession of a firearm by a felon.
Marqee Robinson (Buncombe County): Charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine; felony possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; felony manufacture, sell, deliver, or possess a Schedule II controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school property; and felony conspiracy to traffic a Schedule II controlled substance.
