McDowell County -- June 10, 2026: McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 21-year-old Haven Michael Brown of Marion with felony Possession of Marijuana; felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Marijuana; misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia; and misdemeanor Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was issued a secured bond in the amount of $20,000.
On June 2, MCSO deputies were patrolling the Nebo area when they observed Brown passed out inside a truck and stopped to check on his welfare.

A subsequent search of Brown and the vehicle turned up 104 grams of marijuana, oxycodone and Xanax pills, and drug paraphernalia.
