McDowell County – August 14, 2025 Randall Kyle Ballard, 38, of Marion, was charged by the McDowell County Sheriff's Office with three felonies related to attempting to obtain property by false pretense and one misdemeanor count of larceny. A $50,000 secured bond was issued to him.
A Marion resident was contacted by officers on July 17 regarding a stolen pressure washer valued at around $800. After receiving surveillance footage of the theft, Det. Vallini was able to identify the suspect as Ballard and pursue charges.
